This is another magic user from the WARHAMMER RPG from Black Industries. This one, as you might guess, is a bit savage and feral compared to some of his peers. I tried to bring a bit of prehistoric Briton out in his attire and weapons. How do you think I did? I'm quite pleased with how this guy came out - I think i'm getting the hang of digital painting!
Looks good, I like those attributes the most.
I'd personally think some more use of textures would do well, to tell hair, fur, skin, bone, and cloth apart. Most stuff seems shaded the same way.
I also think the BG color matches him a bit too well.
Might be wrong there, I'm a little colorblind and not a pro myself ;/
No, i think you're totally right. I haven't done very much blending here, in fact, I haven't really taken advantage of a lot of things I could do to deepen the colors, and make this piece stand out. Thanks a lot for taking the time to critique this - I really appreciate it.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
