Artist's Comments

An Elmore-esque ink drawing of the sorceress La Tiza, from the sensational "Dungeon Majesty" adventure show. I used Photoshop a bit more in this drawing than in my other ones, mainly because the floating emerald (cuz that's what it is), was a late addition. But aside from that quick bit of pasting, as well as level-adjustments, everything you see was done with a brush on bristol.

I really think I NAILED the Elmore-ish signature, though.

I want to thank everyone for their comments on these drawings - they're nostalgic and fun, sort of like the show itself, which can be viewed at [link].

I'm rather surprised how well those simple brush strokes work on the tree. They're subtle but they communicate well.

In my own salvation
And your eternal slumber
Legend shall speak
Of sacrifice at world’s end

Quietly, but surely

I've realised that this
world at its best
Is just a prelude to the next
And it's not what I want to hear
It's not what I want to read
:iconpachycrocuta:
Point of fact yes. You do Elmore as well as, uh... Elmore.
:iconinnerabove:
Thank you very much, sir!

I appreciate that. Like I said, I'm an amateur when it comes to inking - all I can do right now is attempt to emulate the technique of better artists - I've come nowhere near the point of being able to make a brush do exactly what I want it to, just yet. Elmore's grasp on making odd little chunky brushstrokes turn into lights, texture and shadow seems a little like magic to me, even now. =)

Aww, thanks a bunch!
